Comparison of water-sensitive paper, Kromekote and Mylar collectors for droplet deposition with a visible fluorescent dye solution

The study was conducted at the University of Nebraska Pesticide Application and Technology Laboratory in North Platte, July 2015. Two application volume rates (100 200 l · ha−) three nozzle types (XR, AIXR, TTI) were selected two flow (0.8 1.6 min−) a single speed 7.7 km h−. Each collector type [Mylar washed (MW), Mylar image analysis (MIA), water-sensitive paper (WSP), Kromekote (KK)] arranged randomized complete block design. treatment replicated twice, providing six cards each for treatment. A water + 0.4% v/v Rhodamine WT spray solution applied, given fluorescent visible qualities Rhodamine, which allows it to be applied over all types. MW had highest coverage 18.3% across type, followed by WSP 18%, KK 12% lastly MIA 4%. resulted 58% increase coverage, 56% increase, only an 39% when rate doubled from 100 ha− type. similar half nozzles (XR 11002, XR 11004, AIXR 11002). Droplet number density fixed effects significant (p < 0.001) as interaction 0.001). Results this suggest strong correlation data produced with collectors, there full agreement between both except TTI 11004. Using same would allow visual understanding distribution spray, while also giving idea concentration that distribution.
